KHANDWA: Abode to one of India's dozen 'jyotirlings', pilgrims visiting the Omkareshwar temple are being distributed stickers containing an appeal to vote along with 'prasad'.

This initiative at the behest of District Returning Officer and Collector Vishesh Gadhpale has been positively received by devotees at large, according to the temple management.

The slogan 'Loktantra ka rakhen maan, 28 November ko kare matdan (Honour democracy by casting your vote on November 28)' meshes seamlessly with the hortatory injunction of the campaign, being undertaken in the temple since the past 20 days.

In addition, the district administration has employed popular 'Dekh Bahi' memes for spreading awareness among voters.
