MCQs for LU undergrads!

The Lucknow University is in for a revolutionary change in its examination pattern at undergraduate level. The proposal is to introduce Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in all the odd semester examinations while subjective questions in even semesters. The university has six-semester undergraduate courses. However, the new arrangement proposed to be in effect from new session is facing opposition from teachers who feel that at the higher level of education, emphasis should be more on in-depth learning as the proposal will induce a tendency of guessing in students instead of making them reason and take a broader prospective of the topic.

The aim is to pedal for a cleaner, greener and healthier tomorrow and to decongest the roads of smoke emitting motor vehicles. Citizens will be provided technically upgraded cycles on rent. As part of the Smart City project, LMC and district administration are going to set up dock stations for providing cycles on rent as low as H1 per 30 minutes. The cycles will come with GPS and painted in green-black pattern. Once dock stations will be set up, the cycles can be hired either by logging on to www.pedl. in or zoomcar mobile app available on Google Playstore.

Metro marvel in Hazratganj

The upcoming Metro station in posh Hazratganj will be one of the best designed metro stations in the country. It is likely to be completed next month. The uniqueness of this elliptical underground facility will be its all-glass structure fitted steel scaffoldings giving it the impression of a human eye. Stairs and escalators will be placed in the shape of a pupil giving the impression of a dancer opening and closing eyes in sync with music, claim LMRC authorities. Of course, the description is giving wings to imagination and making the wait difficult for Luckowites.
