NEW DELHI: Activists of the Kisan Khet Mazdoor Congress, led by its president and farmer leader from Maharashtra Nana Patole will gherao Parliament on Tuesday to protest the 'anti-farmer' policies of the Modi government.

Workers of the Kisan Khet Mazdoor Congress will resort to 'Sansad gherao' to press for their demands, including loan waiver for farmers and over non-fulfillment of promise to provide adequate Minimum Support Price (MSP) to them.

Senior leaders of the Congress will participate in the protest.

The sansad gherao will mark the beginning of a campaign by the Congress against the 'anti farmer' policies if the Narendra Modi government.

''A protest rally has been organised on October 23 in Delhi against injustice and atrocities against farmers,'' Mr Patole posted on micro-blogging site Twitter on Monday.

''Jawab Do, Hisab Do Rally and Sansad Gherao Andolan will start at 1215 hrs at Sansad Marg, near Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, '' he added.
