Rs 19 lakh sanctioned as ex-gratia for 7 militancy-affected families in Srinagar

SRINAGAR: An amount of Rs 19 lakh ex-gratia relief was sanctioned in favour of seven militancy-affected families in Srinagar district on Thursday, an official Spokesperson said here this evening.

The decision was taken in a meeting of District Level Screening-Cum-Coordination Committee (DLSCC), chaired by Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, here.

The meeting discussed 11 cases pertaining to victims of militancy-related incidents, of which four were cleared for cash compensation of Rs four lakh each and three were cleared for grant of Rs one lakh each.

One case was also cleared for compassionate appointment, under the SRO-43/1994, the Spokesperson added.
