CHANDIGARH: AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal said that Ludhiana bomb blast is a matter of great sorrow, and had strong words for state’s Congress government, calling it extremely weak and unstable. Kejriwal, on a two-day visit in Punjab, was addressing mediapersons at the Amritsar airport.

He lashed out at Punjab government for failing to maintain law and order in the state and said, “If the masterminds of 2015 sacrilege incident were brought to stern justice then no one would have dared to do the same in one of the holiest places. Similarly, exemplary action in Maur bomb blast would have remained a warning for the perpetrators of the Ludhiana horror.”

He said that frequency of such incidents is increasing in the state just like during the 2017 election and appealed to the people of Punjab to maintain peace and harmony.

Kejriwal wanted people not to fall prey to such anti-social elements whose sole purpose is to disturb the atmosphere of a poll bound state. He asserted that the people of Punjab will see through these impure intentions.

Taking a dig at Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and PPCC chief Navjot Singh Sidhu, the Delhi CM said, “They have filed one FIR against one person in the last five years, and it’s only an election stunt. But, they are glorifying it like they’ve trammelled the entire drug network in Punjab. Congress promised two major things in 2017, justice in the 2015 sacrilege incident and drug racketeers in jail within a month. But, they’ve failed the people of Punjab.”

He said that the Channi government had three to four months to take significant actions in both cases but they are always engaged in their civil war. Kejriwal upheld that Punjab needs an honest and stable government, that only AAP is capable of delivering.
