Pakistan government now praying that Rahul Gandhi becomes India's Prime Minister: PM Modi

Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi without mentioning his name, Modi said the neighbouring country might want him as PM, but India wants 'a strong country with a strong PM'.

RANCHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that the Pakistan government is praying that the Congress 'prince' (Rahul Gandhi) becomes Prime Minister of India, "but a strong India wants a strong government."

Addressing a poll rally at Palamu during his two-day visit to Jharkhand on Saturday, Modi said he has been the Chief Minister of Gujarat and then the Prime Minister of India for 25 years, but due to the grace of God and blessings of the people of this country, no charges of scam or corruption have been leveled against him.

“I am still the same as you sent me here on the post of Prime Minister…Modi is born not to have fun…but for a mission. Leaders of JMM and Congress have collected huge assets and properties through corruption, but I don’t even have even a bicycle or house of my own,” said the PM.

Modi further added that leaders of the INDIA bloc have been collecting money and leaving huge properties for their children unlike him. "You all are my successors, your children and your grandchildren are my successors," he said.

Modi said he wished to give a developed India as a legacy to the people of this country so that they don’t have to face any problems. Telling the audience about the power of their vote, Modi said, “Look at the power of your one vote. Earlier, you had to wait for 500 years and several generations passed but it did not happen. Now, the Ram Mandir was built just because of your vote.”

"Kashmir was burning after independence as it was hit by terrorism, but look at the power of that one vote of each of you; Article 370 was repealed and was buried forever," he stressed.

He further said that Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and several other states were Naxal-infested during the Congress regime but have been freed from the menace of the red rebels.

He said that the then government at the Centre used to send love letters to Pakistan which in return sent terrorists to India, who played with the blood of the innocent citizens of this country.

“When your votes brought me to power, as soon as I took charge as Prime Minister of India, I said enough is enough. Now this will not be tolerated and we will not allow innocent people to be killed,” said the PM. He further added that the new India does not send dossiers but strikes directly entering into the enemy’s house. Modi asserted that surgical strikes have shaken Pakistan from the inside.

No reservation based on religion to Muslims as long as I am alive, says PM Modi in Telangana

Meanwhile, after addressing another poll rally in Gumla, the PM targeted the INDIA bloc and said that they are waging 'vote jihad' against him. "Whatever they do, the country is not going to step back and Modi is not going to be afraid of them," he said.

Terming the INDIA alliance as a congregation of fools, Modi said they are spreading lies that if he comes to power, he will abolish the reservations for ST/SC and OBC.

“I came to power 10 years back and have been the Prime Minister twice. The truth is that people in the INDIA alliance want to snatch your reservation and give it to Muslims. But as long as I am there, I will not let it happen,” he asserted.
