CUTTACK: The Commissionerate Police on Saturday collected the footage of the CCTV installed inside the lift of Orissa High Court where the alleged incident of modesty outrage of a lady police inspector took place. Sources said if necessitated, police will conduct forensic examination of the CCTV footage.
Meanwhile, members of the Orissa High Court Bar Association urged the Commissionerate Police to expedite the probe. Umesh Behura, secretary of the association, claimed that the allegation of the lady cop was false and baseless and said, “We have urged the police to complete the investigation by Monday.
The alleged incident occurred on February 7 and police are making inordinate delay in conducting the probe.”
An emergency meeting of general body of the association has been convened on Monday to chalk out further course of action in this regard, he added.
Sources said the lady Police Inspector, who is working with CID (CB), had gone to the HC for some official work on February 7 when two lawyers allegedly outraged her modesty inside the lift.
