KEONJHAR : A woman killed her 11-month-old son before committing suicide following a quarrel with her husband at Handiasili village under Patna police limits in Keonjhar district late on Friday. According to reports, there was a spat between Gopabandhu Behera and his wife Sashmita over the former’s habit of drinking alcohol.
The fight took an ugly turn when the woman strangulated her baby to death and later committed suicide by hanging herself outside her house. Sashmita’s body was found hanging on Saturday. Police reached the spot and arrested Gopabandhu after interrogating him.Sashmita’s brother Gurucharan alleged that Gopanbandhu killed his sister as she protested his addiction to alcohol.
