Twin city students shine at SOF Olympiad

Students of twin city, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, secured international rank at the Science Olympiad Foundation Olympiad 2017-18. Over 45,000 schools from 1,400 cities across 30 countries participated in the six Olympiad exams organised by SOF.

BHUBANESWAR:Students of twin city, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, secured international rank at the Science Olympiad Foundation Olympiad 2017-18. Over 45,000 schools from 1,400 cities across 30 countries participated in the six Olympiad exams organised by SOF.

Total participation from Bhubaneswar was 66,039 and Cuttack was 21,047 and both the cities came out with flying colours. From Bhubaneswar, Bhavesh Patra of Class IV from Mothers Public School secured 1st rank in International Maths Olympiad similarly it was Arihant Tripathy of Class VII from SAI International School in National Cyber Olympiad. Each were presented Gold medal, merit certificate and `50,000 cash award.

From Cuttack, Ansuman Abhijit Jena of Class 1 from St Xaviers’s Public School secured 1st rank in International Mathematics Olympiad. Ansuman was also given a gold medal, merit certificate and `50,000 cash award.

Likewise, in National Cyber Olympiad International 2nd rank was achieved by Shashwat Das of Class VII from SAI International School and Om Aditya of Class 8 from Lumbini Public School, Bhubaneswar and Anjel Pradhan of Class 1 from DR Dev Mohanty Public School from Cuttack.
