Q: Was it right PM Narendra Modi gave an icy treatment to Canadian PM Justin Trudeau during his visit to India over his views on Khalistan Movement spearheaded by Sikhs back home in Canada?

A: Diplomacy is an art of complex shades. Trudeau was more on a pleasure trip than on official visit. Hardly any head of the state spends more than a week in a country with his family. Moreover, he defied all sorts of protocol by talking his kids for a formal welcome ceremony. But he wasn’t given Modi hug because he was seen to be hugging those who pose threat to the integrity and unity of India. He has been given a powerful signal without ignoring essential courtesies which are normally extended to any visiting head of a government.

Q: Sonia Gandhi says that Rahul is her boss too! Is she telling all opposition leaders that in case an alliance is formed to defeat BJP/NDA then they will have to accept Rahul Gandhi as the PM? What will the country gain in such a scenario?

A: It doesn’t need any further clarification. She had refused to become the Prime Minister in the past when she could have. So, she is not a candidate. If the Congress wins majority or is able to dictate its allies to accept a Congress leader as the prime minister, Rahul will be the natural choice. But let us wait for Verdict-2019.

Q: Sir, Is China unstoppable as it directly warns India not to interfere in the Maldives although It blatantly encroaches POK and builds CPEC. Given the power equation, one cant blame India but with each episode, China is proving to the world who is the boss of the hood. Your comments would greatly help to understand the underlying dynamics and facts.

A: It is quite complex geopolitics. China doesn’t have either India or America to dictate strategic contour in South Asia. Its policies are led purely by economics. It is using money as the most powerful instrument for winning over more friends in her neighbourhood and beyond. Even in America, Chinese owned a substantial chunk of Real Estate. Since it is not a democratic society its leadership can decide its fiscal and in diplomatic policies without bothering about any domestic implications. However, India is better placed as we can dictate China as we provide a big market for its products. India is yet to show its muscles.

Q: Why Modiji is silent on Pakistan sponsored terror attacks, not a day passes our soldiers are killed and ambushed by Pak. army and terrorists. We people request Modiji to take strong action with the support of USA to neutralize Hafeez Sayeed like Osama Bin Laden was eliminated. What is your opinion Sir?

A: Prime Minister believes in action and not words. He takes his own time. The situation is definitely getting out of hand as more and more security personnel are being gunned down by Pakistan sponsored terrorists. He has been talking to President Trump. But time is running out for his. He has to now teach a lesson to Pakistan. His credibility is now at stake.

Q: In BJP ruled states the governments are putting forward tall claims of good performance. They are trying to make people believe that they performing well. Since the opposition is not worthy of being considered as political options as they fail to counter ruling claims of good performance. Then should not there be a neutral & reliable agency of reviewing the performance of state governments and let people know the exact status?

A: Some of the BJP stats are performing well but they are others which have failed as well. Propaganda through ads and PR agencies cant yield permanent results. BJP lost all the elections recently held in Rajasthan. It has to do some soul searching.
