Hyderabad, Nov 14 (PTI) A 50-year-old woman wasarrested today for allegedly cheating people to the tune ofRs 1 crore by promising them jobs in foreign countries andunder the guise of export business, the police said.

The accused, identified as T Sheeba Rani, allegedlycollected funds from job-seekers and issued fake visas tothem, the Rachakonda Police said.

According to police, Rani also collected money frompeople under the guise of offering them returns from theexport of rice and meat.

She was arrested in 2006 on the charge of duping somenurses under the guise of sending them to Dubai aftercollecting money from them.

"In the name of rice and meat export and job seekersabroad on job visas, she has allegedly cheated public to thetune of about Rs 1.03 crore from 2008 to till date," a releasefrom Rachakonda Police Commissionerate said. PTI VVKNSK.
