Uttar Pradesh local body polls: BJP expels two for contesting against party's official candidates

LUCKNOW: Two BJP leaders were today expelled from the party for contesting polls against the party's official candidates in the Uttar Pradesh urban local bodies elections in Muzaffarnagar.

UP BJP spokesperson Chandramohan said, "District BJP president (of the Muzaffarnagar unit) Rupender Saini has taken disciplinary action against them, as they are contesting elections against the party's official candidates. They have been expelled."

Madan Kumar, who is contesting against the BJP's candidate in nagar palika Khatauli and Manoj, who is contesting in Meerapur nagar panchayat. have been expelled, he said.
