Dryfruits: Dryfruits prices rose at the wholesale marketDryfruits: Dryfruits prices rose at the wholesale marketin the national capital during the week largely on the back ofincreased buying by stockists and retailers, supported byrising domestic and export demand.

Tight stocks following restricted arrivals from producingregions and overseas markets too influenced prices.

Sentiment remained firm mostly on increased offtake bystockists and retailers, triggered by ongoing festive seasonand pick-up in export demand, marketmen said.

Prices of almond (California-new) rose by Rs 100 toconclude at Rs 18,700-18,800 per 40 kg, while its kernelstrengthened to Rs 700-710 from previous closing of Rs 695-705per kg.

Almond gurbandi and girdhi also traded higher at Rs12,500-13,100 and Rs 5,200-5,300 against previous closing ofRs 12,400-13,000 and Rs 5,100-5,200 per 40 kg, respectively.

Cashew kernel No 180, No 210, No 240 and No 320 gainedRs 5 each to conclude at Rs 1,085-1,095, Rs 960-990 Rs930-945 and Rs 835-845 while its broken (2, 4 and 8 pieces)also increased up to Rs 10 to finish at Rs 680-780, Rs 670-775and Rs 570-680 per kg, respectively.

Chilgoza-new roasted went up by Rs 100 to finish atRs 3,200--3,400 per kg.

Coconut powder advanced by Rs 100 to conclude at Rs4,400-4,900 per 25 kg.

Kishmish Indian yellow and green prices increased by Rs100 each to finish at Rs 3,600-4,600 and Rs 6,200-12,200 per40 kg.

Pistachio hairati and peshawari higher up to Rs 25 toconclude at Rs 1,400-1,470 and Rs 1,575-1,650 per kg.

Walnut and its kernel prices also edged higher by Rs 10each to ended at Rs 250-350 and Rs 820-970 per kg,respectively. (MORE) PTI DP SUN ADIMKJ.
