Hyderabad, Dec 17 (PTI) An International conferenceon 'Functional Materials' will be held at Rajiv GandhiUniversity of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Basar inAdilabad district of Telangana for three days from tomorrow.
Around 200 delegates from over ten countries likeUS, South Africa, UK as well as from across India will takepart in the three day symposium, A Ashok Vice Chancellor,RGUKT Basar, said in a press release here today.
According to Ravi Varala, Convener of the meet, theseminar will cover from basics to applications in nano-scienceand nano-technology, synthetic chemistry, green chemistry andcomputational materials science.
"Internationally acclaimed scientists from physics andchemistry will take part in the conference to discuss andshowcase their research findings to researchers from India andabroad," Varala added.
Prof. Apparao M Rao, Director of Clemson Nano-MaterialInstitute, Clemson University, will deliver the keynoteaddress during the inaugural.
The theme of the conference is "Applications of SmartMaterials in the areas of Nano-Science and Nano-Technology,Synthetic Chemistry, Sensors and Computational MaterialsScience".
The conference aims to address the application aspectof these functional materials in areas of societal relevance,to discuss current scientific issues and to ignite scientifictemper in young researchers, the organisers said.
RGUKT is an autonomous body, established in a 270 acrecampus to cater the needs of rural meritorious students. It isadopted by the Telangana government. PTI VVKNRB.
