The counsel for the Delhi Police vehemently opposed grant of anticipatory bail to Khedkar, saying she was not cooperating in the probe and allegations against her were serious.

The top court noted that no concrete investigation into the matter had taken place and directed Delhi Police to conclude the probe expeditiously.

The apex court also questioned why the Delhi Police had not completed its investigation, especially since Khedkar had stated in an affidavit that she was willing to cooperate.

The apex court has directed the accused to cooperate with the investigation and scheduled the next hearing for March 18.
