The counsel for the Delhi Police vehemently opposed grant of anticipatory bail to Khedkar, saying she was not cooperating in the probe and allegations against her were serious.
The apex court also questioned why the Delhi Police had not completed its investigation, especially since Khedkar had stated in an affidavit that she was willing to cooperate.
In her appeal, Khedkar argued that the First Information Report (FIR) disclosed offences based on documents and application forms already in the prosecution's possession.
