Singapore Police said upon completion of the SPF’s investigations, the findings would be submitted to the State Coroner in Singapore, who will hold a Coroner’s Inquiry (CI).
The over 12,000-page charge sheet was prepared after nearly three months of investigation during which the SIT had visited Singapore and recorded the statements of more than 300 people.
The decision followed by RTI applications filed against his brother Shyamkanu Mahanta, who was arrested, along with six others, in connection with music icon Zubeen Garg’s mysterious death.
Reacting to the statement, Congress MP and Assam Congress president Gaurav Gogoi urged the chief minister to share the evidence if it was indeed a murder.
