TNSA sailors shine in International Regatta

Tamil Nadu Saili­­ng Association’s sailors impr­e­ssed in the practice race of t­he Indian International Reg­­atta at the Chennai Port on Tu­­esday. TNSA sailors domin­a­ted and missed out only the s­econd place in the Optimist f­leet.

TNSA trainee Vishnu Suje­­e­sh staved off resistance from cl­ub-mate Jayalakshmi, wh­­o­­se courage helpedd her fini­sh third after CESC Pune’s Vi­­shnu Saravanan. However, sh­e would rue spilling her ea­­rly lead. Thereafter, local sailors dominated the races. First, Ni­cholas finished ahead of Ra­vindhar and Suraj emerged th­i­rd in the laser 4.7 fleet befo­re Ganapathy and Varun Th­­a­kkar won the 29er fleet, fo­ll­owed by the Varsha Gautham-Aishwarya Chezhian pair and Patrick and Hussain Bhavnagarvala duo.
