Parikshit Somani, making a comeback after a successful stint with the Indian Under-14 team in Europe, managed to overcome a mid-match slump to beat Saurav Kalkala 6-2, 6-7 (5/7), 6-0 in the second round of the Adidas-TTT National sub-junior clay court tennis championships.

R Audi Sachin’s century (126; 234b, 22x4) helped City IV post 260 against City I on the first day of the TNCA Round Robin U-14 tournament.

Anirudh Scalps Six

PB Anirudh’s 6/18 helped City I bag a lead of 97 runs against City IV in a drawn match of the TNCA Round Robin U-16 match at VB Nest. City I were declared winners by virtue of their first innings lead.

BRIEF SCORES: At Marina: City II 200/7 in 90 overs drew with City III 205/6 in 90 overs (G Hemanth Kumar 27, AH Mohamed Suhail 44, Adhithya Raghuraman 61 no; G Nicul Anand 3/26). City III won on first innings lead.

At VB Nest: City I 189 in 79.4 overs and 49 in 23 overs (S Lokeshwar 32; M Anton Andrew Subikshan 4/14, Arjun Basu 3/6) drew with City IV 92 in 58 overs (PB Anirudh 6/18, YAK Sharath Sreekanth 3/28) and 73/7 in 15 overs (P Ajith Kumar 28; R Mihir 4/12).

Mohan Ram’s unbeaten 53 was the feature of Omega International School’s three-wicket win over Vales International School in the SJPS invitation inter-school U-14 cricket tournament.
