IOA Chief Gets ANOC Post

NEW DELHI:  Indian Olympic Association President N Ramachandran has been appointed as a vice-chair of the Association of National Olympic Committees’ (ANOC) International Relations Commission.

ANOC President Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah said in a letter that in “consultation with the ANOC vice-presidents, we decided on March 13, 2015 to appoint you as a vice-chair of the ANOC International Relations Commission for 2015.” ANOC is an influential body comprising 205 National Olympic Committees recognised by the International Olympic Committee, covering the five continents.

It was established in 1979 and has its headquarters in Lausanne.
