Murray levels for Britain in Davis Cup final

GHENT: Andy Murray pulled Britain level 1-1 with Belgium in the Davis Cup final in Ghent on Friday by defeating Ruben Bemelmans 6-3, 6-2, 7-5.

The Belgians had moved ahead earlier in the opening singles, David Goffin battling back from two sets down to defeat British newcomer Kyle Edmunds 3-6, 1-6, 6-2, 6-1, 6-0.

Murray is set to join up with older brother Jamie for a potentially decisive doubles on Saturday before taking on Goffin in a battle of the two number ones in the first of the reverse singles on Sunday.
