Ravichandran Ashwin, who will play a crucial role when he comes to bowl, said the wicket was much better than the Ahmedabad one. “It has got more bounce in the wicket unlike the Ahmedabad where it was low and slow.  There is enough bounce in the wicket. If the fast bowlers bowl the right length, they will probably get bounce,’’ he said.

The off-spinnner said the Mumbai wicket always had good bounce. “It is one of the best wickets in the country and when it starts spinning, it becomes quite tough to bat on,’’ he said.

Ashwin said India batted well and he was also happy the way he batted so far. “I used my feet well. We batted pretty well,’’ he added.

Saying that no specific target can be set up, if India  post good total then the game will be really on. “At this point, we recovered well and got into a situation where we are in a comfortable position. We are not totally out of the woods. We need to gather a few more runs. The morning session will be crucial. We need to pass the 350-mark, which will make the game interesting,” said Ashwin.
