Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe by 143 runs Monday for its first test win in four years and only its fourth victory ever in the five-day format.

Ziaur Rahman took 4-63 in Zimbabwe's second innings on debut as the home team ended well short of a huge target of 401.

Hamilton Masakadza was 111 not out for Zimbabwe, but completed a dramatic turnaround to level the series after losing the first test by 335 runs.

three other victories in more than a decade of test cricket were against Zimbabwe in 2005 and two against West Indies in 2009.
