India A skipper Yuvraj Singh, who made a superb 123, said he was happy with the way things unfolded in the first game against the West Indies A.

“Yeah, I am very happy with the performance of the team. We got a good start and then Mandy (Mandeep) and me and later Yusuf and me were able to consolidate and build on it,” said Yuvraj. “This is the first game of a new season and obviously it takes time for the players to get going. But the boys did really well and I am glad we got off to a winning start,” Yuvraj said.

“When I was at the crease with Mandy, I thought maybe a target of 250 or 260 should be good. That’s what I had in mind but we managed a lot more than that,” Yuvraj added.

“I have been working on my fitness for long and putting in some hard work. I was able to run the singles and twos easily when I had to and I am satisfied with what I have been able to do,” said Yuvraj.
