Mohammed Shami vs WI, Nov 2013
Shami came up with a sensational performance in his first Test at Eden Gardens, his home ground. Reversing the old ball, he made West Indies batsmen dance to his tunes, making up for the absence of Zaheer Khan. He bagged 4/71 in the first innings before going one better in the second, taking 5/47.  He has been hampered by injuries since.

Mehidy Hasan vs England, Oct 2016
Barely a year after playing in his first U-19 World Cup, the Bangladesh offie left England clueless with his flight, dip and variations such as sliders. The off-spinner took 19 wickets in the two-Test series, including three five-fors.

Josh Hazlewood vs India, Dec 2014
The tall Aussie pacer didn’t take too long to impress in the international arena. He troubled India batsmen with his tight lines and bounce to finish with figures of 5/68.

Colin de Grandhomme vs Pak, Nov 2016
After failing to live up to his reputation in a T20 in 2012, the all-rounder returned to the side with a bang in the longest format. The all-rounder’s figures — 6/41 — are the best by a debutant for New Zealand.
