Vidya Mandir A 210/8 in 50 ovs (John George 77, R Lakshminarayan 67; Harikrishna Prasad 3/16) bt Nellai Nadar A 175 in 49.1 ovs (A Gangadharan 53; Vijay Priyadarshan 5/23). Don Bosco 185/5 in 50 ovs bt SBOA 102 in 46.1 ovs (P Bharadwaj 3/21). Santhome 294/4 in 50 ovs (R Vimal Khumar 133, VP Amith Sathvik 55 n.o) bt PSBB (KK Nagar) A 165 in 49.3 ovs.

Prabhakaran scalps five

A Prabhakaran’s 5/6 helped Namakkal overcome Tiruvannamalai in the quarterfinals of the TNCA inter-district T20 tournament for the SS Rajan Trophy.

Brief scores (quarters): Namakkal 129 in 19.2 ovs (S Selvaganapathy 3/22) bt Tiruvannamalai 107 in 19 ovs (Suresh Kumar 3/26, A Prabhakaran 5/6). Throwball tourney

The Tamil Nadu Throwball Association will organise the 23rd sub-junior national championship at Velammal Vidyalaya (Alapakkam) from February 10 to 12. Tamil Nadu girls are the defending champions, while the state’s boys finished runners-up last time.

Pro basketball league

Season 4 of UBA’s pro basketball league will be held at Sathyabhama University from February 16 to March 1. Semifinals and championship series will be held in Goa from March 10-16. Matches will be telecast on Ten 1 and Ten 3.
