CHENNAI: S Sharun Kumar (three for 65) and S Jasvanth (three for 30) bowled in tandem to help Salem DCA bag a lead of 31 runs over Coimbatore DCA in the final of the TNCA inter-district U-19 tournament, played at Salem.
Half-centuries by AB Abilash (75) and E Mukesh (39) helped Coimbatore to a relatively respectable total.
Brief scores: Salem 267 in 83.3 ovs & 24/2 in 6 ovs vs Coimbatore 236 in 90 ovs (AB Abilash 75, E Mukesh 39; S Sharun Kumar 3-65, S Jasvanth 3-30).

State beach volleyball
Tamil Nadu State Volleyball Association will conduct the state beach volleyball championship for men and women at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium from March 12 to 14, to select the Tamil Nadu state teams to take part in the 17th National Beach Volleyball Championship to be held in Puducherry from March 17 to 19.
