ODI World Cup 2025: Rain halts India-Bangladesh clash after delayed start in Navi Mumbai

NAVI MUMBAI: The ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 league match between India and Bangladesh came to an abrupt halt due to rain after play had already been delayed by two hours at Navi Mumbai.

The match had been reduced to 43 overs per side. Before the interruption, Bangladesh were 39 for 2 in 12.2 overs, with Sharmin Akter and Nigar Sultana unbeaten at the crease.

For India, Renuka Singh and Deepti Sharma claimed one wicket each. India opted to bowl against Bangladesh in their final league game of the Women's ODI World Cup here on Sunday.

India made three changes to their playing eleven, bringing in Uma Chetry, Radha Yadav and Amanjot Kaur in place of rested Richa Ghosh, Kranti Gaud and Sneh Rana.

India have qualified for the semifinals while Bangladesh have been eliminated. Toss was delayed by 35 minutes due to rain.
