MADRID: Cristiano Ronaldo hit a hat-trick to reach 101 Champions League goals as Real Madrid beat Bayern Munich 4-2 after extra time in Tuesday's quarter-final second leg to advance 6-3 on aggregate.
The Portugal star cancelled out Robert Lewandowski's 53rd-minute penalty, but an own goal from Real captain Sergio Ramos with 12 minutes remaining sent the encounter into extra time.
Ronaldo restored Real's lead on 105 minutes as he brought up a century of goals in Europe's top club competition. He then completed his treble before Marco Asensio added a fourth.
