MUMBAI: The IPL Governing Council is to meet in Delhi tomorrow to finalise the new home venues for defending champions Mumbai Indians and league debutants, Rising Pune Supergiants, once the games shift outside Maharashtra under the orders of the Bombay High Court.

"There is a meeting of the IPL GC tomorrow in Delhi. The new (home) venues of the two teams will be finalised," a top IPL official told PTI today.

Although RPS have indicated their preference for Vishakapatnam post the final game at their designated home venue – Maharashtra Cricket Association stadium on the outskirts of Pune, the IPL was yet to approve the same, the official explained.

"Both the new venues will be decided tomorrow," he reiterated.

According to informed sources, MI have been told their new home venue is a choice between Mohali, Dharamsala and Kanpur after their earlier preferred venue, Jaipur, has run into rough weather following the filing of a PIL there citing water scarcity in the Pink City.

RPS's last home game at Pune would be the Maharashtra Derby against the defending champions on May 1.

Today is MI's last game against 2014 champions Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium here.
