CHENNAI: Round 2 of the 20th JK Tyre FMSCI National Racing Championship will start from August 5 at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore. The first round of the Euro JK 17 and the Suzuki Gixxer Cup saw Chennai duo Vishnu Prasad and Joseph Matthew winning all the races.

In the LGB Formula 4, Kohlapur’s Chittesh Mandody was outstanding as he took a maximum of 30 points. In the JK Tyre RedBull  Road to Rookie Cup, Sri Lanka’s Jaden Gunawardena remained unbeatable in the first round.

As he is not eligible for points, Lalhruaizela of Aizawl is ahead on the table with second and third-place finishes. However, all focus will be on Vishnu Prasad who with 40 points was smooth, as he got used to the BMW FB02 car and surprised everybody by breezing to victory in each of his previous races. Second placed Anindith Reddy (27 points) and Nayan Chatterjee (24 points), though will be breathing down his neck.
