Ganesh, Deepak star in semifinals of Ramavatar Kanodia Memorial inter-school T20 tournament

CHENNAI: S Ganesh’s 76 helped Don Bosco, Egmore, beat Government Higher Secondary School, Ashok Nagar, in the semifinals of the Ramavatar Kanodia Memorial inter-school T20 tournament. Deepak Raja’s 60 was the feature of Muslim Higher Secondary School’s win in the other match.

Brief scores: Govt HSS Ashok Nagar 189 in 20 ovs (H Mohammed Suhaib 56, A Nithin Vijay 47, C Shiva Kumar 4/42) lost to Don Bosco MHSS Egmore 195/3 in 19.3 ovs (S Ganesh 76, M Vishal 44, V Abhishek 33). Inter-school T20

Sixteen schools will take part in the inter-school T20 tournament for the Indian Bank Trophy to be held from August 16 to 22, at Loyola College grounds. The tournament will be played in a league-cum-knockout format. The winners and runners-up will be presented trophies. There will also be awards for best players. Kishor Kharat, MD and CEO of Indian Bank, unveiled the trophies.
