CID raids residence of Raju’s brother

CID sleuths searches at residence and office of Satyam Computers Ramalinga Raju’s brother Suryanarayana Raju.

HYDERABAD: CID sleuths conducted searches at the residence and office of former chief of Satyam Computers B Ramalinga Raju’s brother Suryanarayana Raju. The office of SRSR Advisory Services, a consultancy firm for which Suryanarayana Raju is a director, at Jubilee Hills was searched and several documents were reportedly seized from there.

The CID sleuths also searched the house of Prasad Raju of Maytas at Pet Basheerabad late in the night.

Suryanarayana Raju, however, was not available for quizzing by the investigators, a police official said.

Sources said the searches at the residence of Suryanarayana Raju were being conducted since last night and they went on today also.

A good number of documents related to land records and others were seized from the office and residence of Ramalinga Raju’s brother and they are being verified, sources said.

CID sleuths reportedly wanted to quiz Suryanarayana Raju to know several things that might have helped in the probe but he was not available.

The investigator, however, questioned several senior officials and employees of the SRSR Advisory Services, sources said.

Late in the night, the house of Prasad Raju of the Maytas was also searched thoroughly by the CID investigators, sources said.
