Abducted Sanvi found murdered

The kidnap of 10-month-old infant, Sanvi Venna, at Philadelphia in the USA four days ago ended in a tragedy when she was traced murdered by her close relative by Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) sleuths on Friday. It came as a shock to the little girl’s grandfather V Koda Reddy and family who were expecting to hear a positive news of Sanvi being traced.

The entire family, which is yet to recover from the tragedy of losing Satyavathi (61), the infant’s grandmother, remained shellshocked after being informed by representatives of TANA (Telugu Association of North America) of the little one’s murder. Four days ago Sanvi was abducted from her parents’ house in Philadelphia township by unidentified miscreants.

When her grandmother tried to save her from the abductors, she was shot to death. According to family members, FBI sleuths have taken one Raghu, the kidnapper, into custody. He had allegedly abducted the girl after murdering the old woman. After killing the infant, he buried her. Property disputes were reported to be the reason for the abduction and murders. However, the girl’s family members say they do not know any Raghu and the girl might have been kidnapped for ransom.

Sanvi is only daughter of Venna Ramprasad Reddy and Latha, software engineers working in the USA. The couple recently shifted from Chicago to Philadelphia and Ramaprasad’s mother V Satyavathi went to the US to stay with them for the time being to look after the little girl.

Konda Reddy, a retired teacher from Kudumula Kunta village in HM Padu mandal in Prakasam district, had been waiting to receive the body of his wife Satyavathi, when he received the tragic news of his granddaughter’s murder.

Relatives and friends, who heard the news, expressed their shock and anguish and demanded stringent punishment to whoever is responsible for the twin murders.
