Kiran leaving for Delhi today?

Amid the hullabaloo over the Telangana issue, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is likely to visit the national capital on Sunday to hold confabulations with his party high command over the present political situation in the state.

Sources close to him said the chief minister would meet the Congress high command which is holding discussions with TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao over the issue of state's bifurcation.

Governor ESL Narasimhan preceded the chief minister and was in Delhi on Thursday and Friday and held hectic parleys with the high command.

When asked about the significance of his proposed Delhi tour, the chief minister replied evasively, saying he did not know whether he was going to the national capital or not on Sunday.

"I think you people (journalists) know better than I about my Delhi visits," he quipped and then retorted: "As our high command is in Delhi what is wrong in visiting the national capital?"
