Tension prevailed at the agriculture market yard in Devarakadra in Mahabubnagar district on Monday, following castor seed farmers resorting to rasta roko on Hyderabad-Rayachur highway, protesting against the low price offered to them.
Several castor farmers from Narva and China Chintakunta mandals came to Devarakadra agriculture market yard for selling their produce. When they were offerd only Rs 2,500 per quintal as against the Rs 3,200 being offered in Jadcherla market yard, the enraged farmers got into an argument with traders there.
