Plea again for Rayala Telangana

HYDERABAD: Several Rayalaseema leaders have once again started expressing their opinion that in the event of bifurcation of the state, districts of Anantapur and Kurnool should also be clubbed

HYDERABAD: Several Rayalaseema leaders have once again started expressing their opinion that in the event of bifurcation of the state, districts of Anantapur and Kurnool should also be clubbed with Telangana.

They are pursuing their proposal with the party high command and argue that if their proposal is implemented, assemblies of both the states would have 147 members each and both states have 21 Lok Sabha constituencies each.

The leaders claim that with this proposal Telangana and Seemandhra regions will have a win-win situation.

Several Anantapur leaders are in touch with MIM leadership which also supports Rayala Telangana concept.

One Congress leader said that he had several rounds of discussion with MIM party chief Asaddudin Owaisi and claimed that he had  reacted positively to his proposal.

He said they were also holding discussions with other like-minded leaders on the issue.
