Gali Somasekhar Reddy, brother of mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy, filed a petition in the ACB court on Wednesday, seeking special- class prison facilities considering his ‘social status’.
According to a source, Somasekhar Reddy appealed to the court to provide him special facilities in the prison considering that he is an MLA, high income tax payer and had a high standard of living.
The judge posted the hearing on the petition to August 14.
The ACB arrested Somasekhar Reddy, accused number two in the Gali Janardhan Reddy cash-for-bail case, on Monday.
Meanwhile, the court rejected the bail applicaitons of former judge K L Narasimha Rao and realtor Surya Prakash Rao in the case.
TH Suresh Babu, another Karnataka MLA and accused in the case, filed a petition seeking bail. Hearing on his bail petition was also posted to August 14.
