HYDERABAD: Opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu has decided to register his dissent over the appointment of information commissioners to the State Information Commission under the Right to Information Act. As there were protests from some quarters on the appointment of politicians as information commissioners, Naidu decided to write a dissent note on the file.

Sources said that Naidu also have reservations about the bona fides of some candidates.

"Wait for two more days. You will know everything," he said without elaborating.

FARMERS' CAUSE: In the wake of the success of his Rytu Poru Yatra, the TDP chief decided to take up the farmers' cause at the national level.

Naidu, who heads the National Coordination Committee on farmers, decided to set up an office in Delhi to push the farmers cause. He will convene a meeting with agriculture experts and prepare a draft agriculture policy and exert pressure on the Centre to approve it. He will convene a meeting of MPs on the matter. Naidu said the government should constitute Farmers' Welfare Authority and Farmers' Welfare Fund for giving social security pension to small and marginal farmers who cannot continue agriculture due to old age.

YUVA TARANGAM: Naidu launched an audioCD and a pamphlet on Yuva Tarangam- conventions for youth- to commence in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday and held at Vijayawada on February 9, Tirupati on February 10 and Hyderabad on February 11.
