KARIMNAGAR: Excise task force (ESTF) officials raided a illegal ID liquor unit here on Thursday and seized 144 litres of ID liquor packed in 844 sachets. On a tip off, ESTF officials led by circle inspector T Laxman Goud and sub inspector R Lingaiah raided the unit and arrested worker Sandla Raghu who works for kingpin Vemula Bhasker.
Speaking to mediapersons, Laxman Goud said Bhaskar imports pure ID liquor from Banjarupalli of Dharmaram mandal and Jillellagada tanda of Husnabad mandal and adulterates it with water before selling it. A manhunt has been launched for Bhaskar, who has managed to escape.
