ADILABAD/KARIMNAGAR: Six persons died while nine others were injured in two separate accidents in Adilabad and Karimnagar districts on Sunday. Three persons died and four others were injured when a lorry crashed into a car on NH7 near Mavala village in Adilabad district on Sunday.

The incident occurred when a lorry heading in the same direction as the car crashed into the rear side of the car. Following this, the car hit the divider, instantly killing Sai Kiran and injuring three of his friends who were sitting on the divider.

The passengers in the car, Shivakumar, who was Karur Vysya Bank manager and his father Saytanaryana died on the spot while a woman travelling with them was seriously injured.

In Karimnagar, three died and five were hurt when a car rammed into a tree at Poodur in Kodmayal mandal on Sunday.

According to Kodimayal police, the TATA sumo driver lost control over the vehicle after crossing Poodur bridge and then rammed into a tree.

All those injured were shifted to Karimnagar hospital. Condition of two persons was critical.
