ANANTAPUR: A 55yearold Sai Baba devotee from Singapore, Shanmuga Amrutha Lingam, was found dead under suspicious circumstances in an apartment in Puttaparthi on Monday.

According to Puttaparthi DSP KC Venkataiah, Shanmuga Amrutha Lingam, who was a regular visitor to Puttaparthi, came on a tourist visa on October 21.

He was staying in roon no 23 at Sai Towers apartments. He reportedly did not come out of the room for the last three days. When stench started emitting from the room on Monday, the apartment staff alerted the police. Police broke open the apartment door and found the highly decomposed body of Shanmuga on the cot.
