HYDERABAD: A sub-inspector of the intelligence wing was in a tight spot when deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha summoned him inside his chamber  on Thursday and wanted to know what he was doing standing outside his chamber. He was annoyed when marketing minister M Mukesh Goud went inside the dy chief minister’s chamber and informed him that for the last one hour, a policeman in plain clothes was standing outside the room and  noting down who was entering and exiting from his chamber.

Rajanarasimha immediately sent for the sub-inspector who came rushing in. The deputy chief minister wanted to know what business he had outside his chamber and who had posted him there.

The sub-inspector mumbled that he was there as part of his duty. He told him that there was nothing unusual about him standing outside as it was part of his job.

The the deputy chief minister retorted, “do whatever you have to do. Take notes of all developments taking place here. Take down the names of all those who meet me and do justice to your job. I am least bothered about the fact that you are ‘watching’ me,” he said.
