Andhra Pradesh, Washington state to ink MoUs

A trade mission led by Christine O Gregoire, governor of the state of Washington in the United States of America, will call on chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at the latter’s camp office here on Tuesday.

The delegation’s visit aims to create new ties between the governments and communities to boost trade and tourism.

 At Tuesday’s meeting, memoranda of understanding will be signed on joint collaboration in biotechnology, agriculture, horticulture, information technology and clean energy.

 A delegation from Andhra Pradesh had visited the Washington state in the past and the current trade mission is a reciprocal visit.

 The American state’s delegation consists of 40 members drawn from various departments and business organisations.
