Nine more Telugu unicode fonts would be released at the conference. This is in addition to the three unicode fonts for Telugu that have already been made available. These unicodes can be used by anyone free of cost.

Other facilities that will be launched is a Telugu-Telugu thesaurus with 1.5 lakh words and synonyms. A multi-lingual dictionary to translate words of other languages into Telugu, a Telugu-English-Telugu dictionary with 65,000 words and a Telugu word analyser will also be released.

Some other Telugu letters like “Alu” had also been sent for unicode consortium for approval, information technology minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah announced Saturday, adding that with the introduction of unicode fonts for Telugu, job opportunities for rural Telugu people would increase. The Telugu grammar of Paravastu Chinnaya Suri will also be made available for students and teachers.
