Jilted techie kills girlfriend, himself

In a shocking incident, a software engineer, who suspected the fidelity of his lover, has deliberately rammed his motorcycle into an RTC bus with her riding pillion at Nallapadu on the outskirts of the city late on Wednesday night. Both were killed on the spot.

According to police, the deceased were identified as Madala Saidubabu (22), a native of Vemparala village of Addanki mandal in Prakasam district and his lover Saikam Sivakrishnaja Reddy (21) of Navabharat colony in Guntur.

Guntur rural CI Moses Paul said police found a suicide note in the pocket of Saidubabu. The letter claimed Sivakrishnaja had deceived Saidubabu and developed an affair with someother person.

Both Saidubabu and Sivakrishnaja had completed B.Tech (IT) in a private engineering college near Phirangipuram last academic year.

Saidubabu, who joined as a software engineer in a company at Chennai recently and worked there only for three months. He returned to Guntur 10 days ago and was staying with a friend.

It is said Saidubabu was advised by his friend Vasu to snap his relationship with Sivakrishnaja because she had developed a relationship with another person.

Following this, Saidubabu had decided to kill his lover and end his life. He asked Sivakrishnaja to meet him and executed the ghastly act, police said.

He tendered apologies to his parents for committing suicide and also urged the police not to register any case against the driver of the vehicle that he was going to hit. Guntur rural CI said a case was registered and investigation is on.
