A division bench of the High Court comprising acting chief justice PC Ghose and justice Vilas V Afzulpurkar will hear on Tuesday a batch of writ petitions filed by the managements of various engineering colleges challenging the new rules framed to streamline the admissions under the management quota (Category- B).
When some of the writ petitions came up for hearing before the bench on Friday, the court was told that some more cases were filed on the same issue.
The bench said all the petitions would be listed together for hearing on Tuesday.
The colleges challenged GO No. 67 dated September 3 with regard to admissions in B-category.
Some petitions by the students who got admissions in private engineering colleges were also filed challenging GO 66 making amendments to rules for admissions under B-category for year 2012-13.
