4 guest houses at Lepakshi

Lepakshi festival would be celebrated in September every year, tourism minister Vatti Vasantha Kumar has said. Participating in the final day celebrations of Lepakshi festival on Sunday, the minister said four guest houses would be constructed at Kodikonda check post at a cost of Rs 50 lakh.

 Sanctioning Rs 20 lakh for construction of an arch on the Hyderabad-Bangalore national highway, he said signboards would also be erected on the national highway Stating that they have discussed with the Union tourism ministry about developing various tourist places in the district, the minister said the works would be taken up with the funds by the Asian Bank.

 The works include construction of guest houses, drinking water facilities, tourist centres, textile exhibition cum sale centre, etc, he said
