In the wake of power crisis, the AP Transco on Monday directed the contractors to complete the ongoing projects relating to transmission system within the time frame. It warned that the defaulting contractors will be blacklisted.
Reviewing the progress of construction works at the extra high tension (EHT) substations and lines through a teleconference from the Vidyut Soudha, chairman and managing director Hiralal Samariya directed the field chief engineers to monitor the works and furnish reports every fortnight.
Expressing dissatisfaction over the progress of construction of 400 KV network which is the life line of power system, he stated that the power utility will not hesitate to blacklist defaulting contractors who fail to complete the works as per the targets.
As an alternate arrangement, the AP Transco will deploy special teams on its own for completing the terminated works.
