‘Government plotting violence’

There appears to be a conspiracy to foment trouble during Telangana March and  blame it on the Telangana Joint Action Committee, TJAC chairman M Kodandaram has said.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, he said that though he had made it clear several times that the rally in Hyderabad on September 30 would be very peaceful, those in the government were trying to inflame passions.

He said the march would be held on the Tank Bund and recalled his warning to governor ESL Narasimhan not to allow re-installation of statues that were damaged or uprooted during the Million March in 2011 lest it should incite fresh violence. If the government was keen on erecting statues, enough care should be taken to ensure that Telangana sentiments were not hurt, Kodandaram said.
